The Emir stated this when he visited the Dutse Emirate Palace in Jigawa State, where he paid a condolence visit over the recent death of the Emir of Gumel, while accompanied by some of his district heads.
Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II said he was pleased with the visit, describing it as an opportunity to strengthen brotherhood and maintain the historic relationship between the two traditional institutions.

In his remarks, the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Hamid Sanusi, described the visit as highly significant, saying “it would further strengthen the relationship between the two Emirates.” He also expressed his best wishes to the Kano Emirate and the people of Kano State.
