According to reports from the Emir’s Palace, the Maulud Durbar will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with the Emir expected to come out and participate in activities marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Maulud Durbar is a traditional ceremony observed by some traditional institutions in Northern Nigeria on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, to commemorate and honour the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The event is expected to further showcase Kano’s rich cultural heritage and the traditional way in which Muslims in the state celebrate Maulud.

The Durbar comes as preparations intensify for this year’s Maulud celebrations, with thousands of residents expected to participate in various activities across Kano.
