John Ternus Takes Charge of Apple, Inheriting Legacy of Steve Jobs and Tim Cook

Ternus, a longtime Apple executive who joined the company in 2001, previously served as Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering. During his career, he was involved in the development of major Apple products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and AirPods.

His appointment marks a major leadership transition for a company whose identity remains strongly connected to its late co-founder, Steve Jobs. Jobs helped establish Apple's reputation for innovative products, distinctive design and a strong focus on simplicity.
