The initiative has been promoted as an opportunity for ordinary Nigerians to participate in the ownership of the refinery and potentially benefit from its future performance.
In his remarks at the Kano event, Emir Sanusi described Kano as a major commercial centre and urged residents to take advantage of legitimate investment opportunities that could contribute to the growth of businesses and the wider economy.
Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, also encouraged Nigerians to participate in the share offer, saying the initiative was designed to broaden public participation in the refinery and expand wealth creation.
The company has said the public offering is intended to deepen participation in Nigeria’s capital market, with eligible investors able to subscribe through approved channels, including designated banks and authorised investment platforms.
