The Emir made the commendation while presenting the two vehicles to the District Head of Sumaila, Galadiman Daji Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Nasidi, and the District Head of Rimi, Sarkin Sullubawa Alhaji Idris Sanusi Bayero, at his palace.

Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II described the gesture as a welcome development, saying the vehicles would greatly assist the traditional rulers in the discharge of their responsibilities and in serving their communities.

The Emir also called on other political leaders to emulate the gesture by supporting traditional institutions and initiatives aimed at promoting development across their respective communities.
In their separate votes of thanks, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Nasidi and Alhaji Idris Sanusi Bayero expressed appreciation to Senator Kawu Sumaila for the donation and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the development of Sumaila Local Government and the Kano Emirate.
