The accident occurred on Wednesday morning on the road linking the Red Sea resort towns of Dahab and Nuweiba in eastern Egypt.
Egyptian and Jordanian media reports said that 10 Jordanian nationals were among those killed in the crash.
Egypt’s Ministry of Health said the injured victims were taken to three different hospitals for medical treatment, while emergency teams were deployed to the scene.
The crash comes about a month after another major road accident in Egypt’s Ismailia Governorate killed 18 people and injured 30 others after two trucks collided.
