The District Head of Dambatta, Dr Mansur Adnan, disclosed this during a sensitisation programme on the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking held at his palace on Saturday.He said the measure was introduced because of the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals and society.

The NDLEA Commander in Dambatta, Zailani Muhammad, urged traditional rulers and members of the public to report drug dealers and locations where illicit drugs are sold or consumed. Similarly, the Dambatta Police Officer, SP Ibrahim Kwasarawa, said many crimes committed by young people are linked to drug abuse and advised parents to closely monitor their children and guide them towards good behaviour.
